Years at PBE: this is year 6!

Years in Teaching: 14ish years total in education as a counselor, special education teacher, a 2nd grade teacher, a middle school math teacher, and a year as an adjunct professor at Whitworth University

About me: I live in Hoquiam with my husband Daryl, our 2 cats (Cooper and Shelly) and 2 dogs (Libby and Smudge). My fabulous sons: Garrison, Quinten, and Hayden (not Mr. C) are grown and out on their own. They are my favorite people. I like to bake cookies, read mysteries, and pick up sea glass on the beach. I love to travel, especially along the coast from Alaska to Mexico. I love jokes and laughing - PBE gives me lots of opportunities.  During school breaks I am grateful to be able to hang out with my mom; she is 93 years old!

Fun Fact: I have always loved to sing - choirs have been my happy place since I was in a 4th grade honor choir in Billings, MT. Singing is my favorite way to center myself and work through big feelings - the power of breathing and melody. I sing in an "old people" band most Sundays.

Why I love working at PBE: Hanging out with children is a privilege and makes my day awesome! PB kids are the best - they have my heart!I love the kind, smart, and dedicated team I get to work with here. There is no place I'd rather work.
